IMPORTANT NOTICE: WE ARE TEMPORARILY EXPERIENCING TECNIQUAL DIFFICULTY WITH OUR E-MAIL: UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE, PLEASE USE: newjenny42@hotmail.com THANK YOU!
First and foremost let me say, whether you came across us this site via an advertisement, a referral or by invitation there is one guarantee and commitment I know we offer in pure truth: YOU ARE NOT HERE COINCIDENTALLY.
I cannot say that I believe absolutely nothing on this planet takes place accidentally. Undoubtedly, things happen that just shouldn't happen. The things most of us blame on God.
I've always found it fascinating, even with myself, that whenever something wonderful has happened in my life or in the life of someone I love, when I haven't been totally self absorbed, without hesitation or thought, I thank the God of my understanding and remember every little blessing He's every bestowed upon me.
Still, just as quickly as I can do that, I can also allow a resentment to go on so long it's actually made me physically ill because I’ve allowed it to spill over into every area of my life (resentments have an uncanny way of doing that) I look to the heavens, shaking my fists demanding to know why and how could this be happening to me?
Does this sound familiar? Good. You are officially human. Furthermore, lucky for us, we have a God that is privy to this part of our nature. He's privy to it because He designed us with every conceivable survival mechanism to sustain us through our earth journey - even the part we're always yelling at Him about!
I am NOT a licensed therapist and I am a huge supporter of therapy, and I am working towards a Masters Degree but it won’t be in this field. Here is why:
As stated, I’m a huge supporter of therapy and professional help but from where I stand (and this does not apply to all professionals) once that license is obtained and you’re sitting in that corner office after years of hard work and education, it’s to easy to lose the most basic intuitive part ourselves that would allow one's spirit to guide them in the true needs of their clients. The spritual part of therapy that really allows us to connect to one another.
When this happens, progress that is often seen, truly looks like progress and on an intellectual level, it often it. Unfortuanately (and certainly not in all cases), when in reality, what we really seeing is the success of the underlying roles of the controlled and controller.
Once the professional becomes governed by the rules of an organization, it’s not only easy but it's all to often REQUIRED to clients into cookie cutter protocols or we have to forfeit what we really know to be good, true and right for our clients because it isn’t in accordance with the new “insurance contract”.

The majority of therapist, psychologist and other professionals have devoted their lives to their lives to their profession and have spent hundreds of thousands of dollars and endless years of school to enter a profession where it will still take a second salary to buy a home and raise a family so obviously there is a sincerity and passion for what they do - and their sense of commitment also gives them initial tendency to display their loyalties to their organization.
By the time they realized what part of themselves they have sacrificed, the only alternative is just that, an alternative, not a choice.
Another observation is the reality that the majority of professionals who enter these fields have done so as part of their own healing process after rising up from a variety of dysfunctional backgrounds. Most of the professionals I have interviewed have truly overcome some tragic personal situations and it is their very own painful backgrounds that have made the excellent professionals they are.
Again, it it worth mentioning as it is so important to realize that I'm speaking about what I personally observed, after interviewing many human service professionials, that is only my personal observation which I am not negating, however, anyone else could interview using the exact same questions and tecnique I used and come up with a completely different conclusion - and I did not come up with exact same conclusion for ALL professionals I interviewed.
Be that as it may and speaking from experience, we all bring our baggage with us. We bring it into our relationship, our careers, our everything - until we CHOSE to put the baggage down - even then, our past will always be part and parcel of who we are today. They key word is always choice, although it will always be with us, we get to chose whether or not it destroy our present or make us better at what ever we do!
We can educate ourselves all the way to the top and we often do yet the bottom line still remains: WE ARE ALL BORN WITH A SIXTH SENSE. I’m sure you’ve heard that most of us only use 10% of our brain’s capacity. If this is the case, why did God bother giving us another 90%?
I don’t know if anyone knows for sure but our theory is that it is left if we are lucky enough to recognize our true spiritual gifts AND USE THEM AS HE INTENDED THEM AS OUR CREATOR INTENDED THEM TO BE USED- it requires the other 90%. The 10% we use are the back up survival skills we were given in the emergency case we did not seek or discover the blueprint of our lives creates before we entered our mother's womb.
When clients ask me if we are all born with the ability to use the six sense we all have, why wouldn't everybody be doing it? My answer is we all have this intuitive ability - some call it psychic ability BUT WE ARE NOT ALL MEANT TO USE IT FOR OUR LIFE'S PURPOSE.

My fantasy was always to be able to sing so beautifully that I would be able to bring an audience of thousands to tears. I’d bring them to tears alright but not because of my singing - well, actually yes, they would cry if they heard me sing, the point is, it’s not my gift.
The ability to intuitively sense and know what is happening or going on with a person is my gift. I’ve spent years refining and defining this gift. Once I finally stopped questioning it and just embraced it, people began to come to me - and not to hear me sing!
I was meant to reach out to people and assist them on their present earth journey and went to college with the full intention of obtaining the “proper” credentials to this. After becoming certified in the area of counseling for substance abuse and finishing my internship, I got a good look at what happens to far too many intuitive teachers. This is exactly why I’ve taken a different approach to human service.

Once that degree exists or they become part of a larger organization, they now unfairly are forced to change or tweak their own belief systems because of other systems that have NOTHING TO DO WITH WHAT THEY SIGNED UP FOR.
One example would be the fine doctor WHO KNOWS one medication is better for his or her patient, but the insurance companies and the hospital administration are telling them, this is profiting medication the health insurance company that we are contracted with, want us to use.
For good reason, very few doctors will take a stand. The only one I know of is the man who delivered my first born child. I saw him as my OB-GYN as a teenager and he delivered my eldest at 33 years old.
After all those years of being forced to treat his patients according the insurance companies, he decided to take the right risk at treat his patients according to what he knows is good for them. What a horrific loss to the organization he was affiliated with and what a blessing to his now thriving private practice!
Then we have the not so new “mandated” reporter system. In my state, this not only limits but can actually paralyze the help a doctor or therapist can give an individual. It can render years and years of education, internships and one’s life calling, useless.

In the state of Massachusetts, although these professionals have no say as to whether or not they want to be what is called a mandated reporter - a mandated reporter is an individual whose employment involves any form of contact with children, direct or indirect who sees or hears ANYTHING WHATSOEVER, that even remotely indicates the POSSIBILITY of child abuse or neglect, THEY MUST REPORT IT.
If they fail to report it, even if it turns out to be absolutely innocent, they can and will lose not only their professions including any licenses, degrees or credentials that they may have worked a lifetime for are rendered useless. They can actually be jailed or fined or both! This also holds for non-professionals; your school bus drivers, the janitor who cleans your child’s day care center, the woman who helps your child cross the street safely to school - to name a few.
The law says, based on their profession, not only ARE they mandated reporters, like it or not but their professions and licenses can be destroyed if the fail to report ANYTHING (and anything has not been clearly defined by law leaving them open legal game) to almost anything that could be even remotely construed as child abuse or neglect.

This accusation or lack there of is assessed based on THE DISCRETION OF CHILD PROTECTION SERVICE OR THE DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL SERVICE (the name varies from state to state) AND THEN AT THE DISCRETION OF A COURT OF LAW, not the other way around like the rest of judicial system.
Their entire life and everything they have worked for could be a complete waste if they fail to “report” a situation to Child Protection Services that may or may not be anything at all.
If I pray anything for The New Dream Weaver to be known or remembered for ANYTHING, I’d want it to be for the safety and protection of ALL CHILDREN - EVERYWHERE - AT ALL TIMES but the way they system is set up at present, it’s hurting, not protecting.
Non-mandated reporters pose the same problem only on the opposite end. My neighbor (this is a hypothetical situation - I love my neighbor) may not like me or perhaps our children didn’t get along.
Absolutely ANYONE can make an anonymous call with out having any accountability for their accusation and make up any story they want.
CPC or DSS MUST INVESTIGATE the call. When they do, one must pray the investing worker likes the parent. The worker’s personal feeling regarding the parent(s) SHOULD NOT BE RELAVANT but they are.
Whether the allegation is real or false, based on that call and the worker’s view of the situation, in less than 30 minutes, the can fill out a less than one page document, fax it to any judge at any hour, the chances of the judge signing in (the judge who has never laid eyes on the parent(s) or child (ran)) the document run at approximately 99.9%.
The worker can then returns to your home with the police and take your children. It is then the parent(s) responsibility to spend anywhere from 7 day to a year to disprove the worker.
Ouch. I know I've just opened a door better left shut but when The New Dream Weaver was conceived, a code of ethics and goals were prayed about, decided upon and finally put on paper. One of the most important principles I vowed to stand by is that we would speak OUR truth, with or without fear and stand by it AND more importantly, I may not agree, but I will stand by your birthright - to stand by YOUR truth.
It’s time for social change. It’s time people had a safe, nurturing and healing place to go. Because we are non-profit and because another major principle of The New Dream Weaver is CONFIDENTIALITY at all costs, it is my belief that we are just a small tiny beginning of a social change where all people, at all times will have that place to go.
